Can we have a party/gathering?
Parties and large gatherings are strictly prohibited. Any such activity will result in immediate eviction from the property with no refund.

Where do we park?
Each cabin has a designated parking area. Please only park in those areas, as septic tanks and drainage fields are also close to the cabins and cannot be driven on.

Do the cabins have AC/heat?
The cabins do not have air conditioning. We strongly recommend bringing a fan or two on your trip. There are heaters in each cabin if needed.

We provide all bed linens. We do not provide bath towels, kitchen towels or dish cleaning towels.

Is there laundry on-site?
We do not have laundry on-site. There is coin laundry located in Munising or Manistique.

What eating/cooking utensils are provided?
Each cabin has a small gas stove and oven, refrigerator, coffee maker and toaster. Plates, cups, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, pans and skillets are provided. You might bring a crockpot with you if you plan your meals ahead of your trip and don't want to spend all your time cooking.

Is there a grill at the cabin?
No, there are no separate grills for each cabin. With the ever present fire danger, we only allow open fire at the firepit located at the north end of the Resort. This is a very open area with little tree coverage. This area is open to everyone. There are plenty of picnic tables for use, as well as hot dog sticks and a big grill for steaks/chicken/hamburgers.

Do you provide firewood?
We do not provide firewood anymore. Feel free to grab anything ON THE GROUND IN THE WOODS on our property to burn. Otherwise, you might grab a bundle or two on your way here when you stop for your groceries. Also, a lot of private residences sell wood on the side of the roads. You will probably have to purchase this last thing once you're in the U.P., as it cannot be brought over state lines or the Mackinac Bridge.

Where do we get groceries?
If you are coming from the Wisconsin side, your last big town for groceries will be Escanaba (Meijer, Walmart, Aldi). If you are coming from the Mackinac Bridge, your last big town for groceries will be Manistique (Jack's is right on the edge of town as you enter on US 2). If you are coming from the north, Munising will be your last big town for groceries.

Do you have life jackets?
We do provide life jackets. These HAVE TO BE IN THE BOAT per Michigan law. They do not have to be worn, but they do have to be in the boat.

Is there beachfront?
We do not have a beach on our lake. You do have your own rowboat and boat landing, however. Can you swim in the lake? Absolutely! If you want sand and a beach, however, you're going to have to travel less than a mile down the road either direction to Triangle Lake or Minerva Lake. As always, don't forget the Lake Superior and Lake Michigan shorelines!

Is there cell service or WiFi?
You MIGHT get a spotty cell signal here and there if you're out walking around the grounds. WiFi is available, but not 100% guaranteed.

Are fireworks permitted?
We do not allow fireworks on the premises due to fire danger. If you are vacationing with us over the 4th of July holiday, Munising and Manistique both have fantastic fireworks displays.

Are there a lot of bugs/animals around?
Please understand when booking with us, that you are booking in very rural upper Michigan in the middle of the Hiawatha National Forest. You might see and encounter wildlife during your stay including but not limited to; deer, fox, bear, coyotes, wolves, skunks, raccoons, bees, wasps, hornets, mosquitos, black flies, no-see-ums, bats, mice, and ants, just to name a few. These creatures reside in nature, and we have no control over them. Because we cannot control Mother Nature, we therefore do not refund if you encounter any of the above during your stay.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please notify us immediately if you must cancel your reservation. Our policy is as follows:

Full refunds minus a $50.00 booking fee per cabin are given with a 90-day cancellation notice.
61-90 day cancellation is $100 per reservation plus the $50.00 booking fee per cabin.
31-60 day cancellation is $200 per reservation plus the $50.00 booking fee per cabin.
30 days or less cancellation fee will be your entire reservation amount less the tax.

Are there refunds for extenuating circumstances?
Refunds will not be given in the event of a power outage. If at any time during your stay the property loses power, please notify us immediately so that we can notify the proper service. Cabin rentals do not have generators. We are in the heart of the Hiawatha National Forest, and because of this, often times we are the last to have our power restored. During power outages, please do not open refrigerators and do not use water or toilets! We have two outside toilets on our property that you will have to use in the event of a power outage.

There are no refunds for late check-ins or early checkouts. If a listed amenity becomes unavailable (internet, boat, etc.), we will do everything possible to reconcile the situation. Refunds will not be given if such services become unavailable because of reasons out of our control (i.e. acts of nature, such as storms).
